Product Overview
The Adson Artery Forcep is a versatile hemostatic instrument designed to clamp small to medium-sized blood vessels and hold tissue during suturing. While the “Delicate Pattern” is reserved for micro-work, the Standard Pattern features a sturdier jaw and shank construction. This makes it ideal for procedures involving tougher fascia, skin edges, and standard subcutaneous bleeders where a firmer, more durable grasp is required.
Key Features
-
“Beast-Bite” Standard Jaws: Features slightly wider and more robust jaws compared to the delicate version, providing the necessary mechanical strength to clamp vessels in denser tissue layers.
-
Aggressive Transverse Serrations: Deeply machined serrations across the entire length of the jaw ensure a non-slip, secure grip on vessels, effectively sealing them for cauterization or ligation.
-
Heavy-Duty Ratchet Mechanism: A reinforced 3-step ratchet lock ensures that once the forcep is clamped, it stays clamped, providing the surgeon with peace of mind during complex dissections.
-
High-Leverage Handle: The ring handles are ergonomically weighted to provide superior leverage, allowing for easy, one-handed locking and unlocking.
-
Straight & Curved Variations: Available in both configurations to allow for direct clamping (Straight) or improved visualization around obstructions (Curved).
