Product Overview
The Adson Tissue Forcep is the gold standard for handling the dermis and tough subcutaneous layers during suturing. Unlike the smooth-tipped dressing version, this instrument features fine, interlocking teeth at the tip. This “1×2 tooth” configuration allows the surgeon to lift and stabilize skin edges with a tiny fraction of the pressure required by toothless forceps, significantly reducing the risk of tissue crushing and necrosis.
Key Features
-
“Beast-Bite” 1×2 Teeth: Features one tooth on one side that interlocks perfectly between two teeth on the opposite side. This provides a high-security, non-slip grip on skin and fascia.
-
Broad “Power-Grip” Handle: The iconic wide, fluted handle provides a large surface area for the thumb and forefinger, offering exceptional stability and preventing the instrument from twisting in the hand.
-
Fine Tapered Tips: The jaws taper to a very fine point, allowing for meticulous work in small incisions and enabling the user to pick up the smallest needles and sutures with ease.
-
Responsive Spring Action: Calibrated with a precise spring tension that offers immediate tactile feedback, ensuring the surgeon can feel the exact density and resistance of the tissue being held.
-
Hand-Finished Precision: Each tooth is hand-aligned and polished to ensure a snag-free release, preventing accidental tearing of delicate epithelial layers.
