The Deschamps Ligature Carrier is a specialized, blunt-tipped needle-driver utilized for passing sutures around structures in confined spaces. Unlike traditional needles, the Deschamps features a fixed, curved blade with an eyelet at the tip. This allows the surgeon to “hook” the instrument around a vessel or ligament, feed the suture through, and retract the carrier—leaving the suture perfectly positioned for ligation.
