Product Overview
The Kocher-Baby (or Baby-Kocher) Forceps provide the aggressive “non-slip” grip of a full-sized Kocher but in a significantly more delicate and lightweight frame. Like its larger counterpart, it features 1×2 interlocking teeth at the distal tips. This allows the surgeon to grasp slippery, small-diameter structures—such as tendons, small fascial planes, or tough pediatric ligaments—with total security and minimal bulk.
Key Features
-
“Beast-Bite” Miniaturized 1×2 Teeth: The interlocking teeth are precision-machined to a smaller scale, providing a mechanical anchor that prevents tissue slippage without the excessive trauma of a standard-sized tooth system.
-
Fine Transverse Serrations: The jaws feature horizontal grooves along their entire length, ensuring that even the most delicate vascular pedicles or connective tissues are held firmly.
-
Ultra-Slim Profile: Designed with exceptionally thin shanks and jaws. This allows for a high degree of visibility and maneuverability in confined surgical sites where space is at a premium.
-
Micro-Graduated Ratchet: Features a fine-tuned, multi-step ratchet mechanism. This allows the surgeon to apply very subtle, graduated pressure, ensuring the lock is secure but calibrated to the fragility of the tissue.
-
Lightweight Balance: Forged from premium surgical steel and hand-balanced to ensure the instrument feels weightless in a “pen-grip” or “fingertip” posture.
