The McCabe Perforation Rasp is an essential tool for tympanoplasty. In chronic perforations, the edges are often epithelialized and avascular, which prevents graft integration. This instrument features a micro-textured, angled tip that allows the surgeon to gently denude the squamous epithelium from the margins of the hole. Its unique geometry provides the necessary leverage to work on the underside of the drum while maintaining a clear view through the ear speculum.
