Product Overview
The Size 00 Weil-Blakesley is the smallest configuration available in the Blakesley family. It is specifically designed for the fragile structures of pediatric patients, infants, or adults with exceptionally narrow nasal passages or stenotic ostia. These forceps allow for the atraumatic removal of ethmoid cells, polyps, or foreign bodies without risking collateral damage to the developing nasal septum or the thin lamina papyracea.
Key Features
-
Ultra-Miniature Size 00 Jaws: Features the smallest possible cupped jaw profile (approx. 2.0mm – 2.2mm), allowing for precise “point-and-grasp” debridement in the most restricted pediatric meatus.
-
“Beast-Reach” Micro-Shaft: The shaft diameter is significantly reduced to prevent “crowding” when used simultaneously with a 2.7mm or 1.9mm pediatric endoscope.
-
Enhanced Tactile Sensitivity: The internal spring and pivot mechanism are calibrated for extreme sensitivity, ensuring the surgeon can feel the slightest resistance when working near the skull base.
-
Atraumatic Hand-Polished Tips: Every surface of the Size 00 jaw is buffed to a mirror finish, ensuring that the instrument glides over mucosal surfaces without causing accidental abrasions or bleeding.
-
Anti-Glare Obsidian Coating: Treated with a specialized dark satin finish to eliminate “light bounce” from high-intensity pediatric endoscopes, maintaining a crystal-clear view of the operative site.
