The Weisman-Graves is a modified bivalve speculum characterized by its side-opening (open-sided) design on the right-hand side. Unlike standard Graves speculums that are closed on both lateral walls, the Weisman-Graves allows for the introduction or removal of large instruments—such as forceps, curettes, or biopsy tools—without having to withdraw the speculum. It is the primary choice for surgeons performing complex colposcopies, LEEP/LLETZ procedures, and vaginal biopsies.
